Semiotic Ghosts are doubtlessly on a journey, steadfast in their dedication to the cause of their name. Following on from the sorts of non-adhesive spirituality that informed 20th century modern classical music in its dream of peace and oneness (we’re thinking La Monte Young and Terry Riley in particular), the on-going meditations of Ghost D and Ghost B culminate here with Venn, an LP occupied not by arrival but the constancy of movement. Wind chime textures ring from ‘Marquand Diagram’, while the palpability of ambient drones emitted from ‘Karnaugh Map’ almost seem to materialise as actual light.
